'07 350Z Body Reinforcement

Definitely a good body for racing however, the body is loose when in the car. A slight hit can cause the body to come off or even crack the front clip insert (the sides) and the front bumper/fender. Here, I will show you guys few tips on what you can do to make that body fit on that new MR02/MR03 chassis with no rattle noise and less chance of breaking.

What you'll need:
1. Glue (thin CA glue)
2. A pair of Scissors
3. Exacto Knife or Blade
4. And medical cloth tape <-- this is the secret stuff. ;)

Cut two strips of medical tape and tape it under the body. For better reinforcement, you can also leave the stock plastic headlights cover but without the bucket under.

Trim the excess tape

* Please make sure to use eye goggles or eye protection. The fumes burns. My wife had to ask me, "are your crying because of the movie?" lol  Yeah...

Apply thin glue from this area first then work your way down. Let the glue penitrate on the cloth but make sure to not put too much glue. Just put an even amount of glue where the cloth is.

Do not use ca glue kicker or accelerator to dry up faster. You want the glue to penitrate on the cloth and bond itself to the plastic for better reinforcement.

When dry, you can add another strip for stronger more durable frontend. I usually use two strips.

That is it for the bumper and fender reinforcement. For the front clip:

Cut two small strips and tape around the front clip like so,

then apply super glue and let it dry.

The reason why you want the front clip to be this is because you do not want to crack the side of that front clip inserts. Usually, this body will crack those two corners but with this, it should help it not move side-to-side easily.

How do we make the body fit tight on the chassis?
* I will post this one in a little bit.
