tutorial...

The best part of doing a tutorial is when you're almost done and then your browser freezes on you and you have to start all over again!

Anyway, please check our tutorial from time to time. I still do update the old tutorials and also put new once in from time to time.

new drivers: driving/setup tips

Basic Setup for Newer Drivers:

Front
2.0 to 2.5 degree knuckles
white low down springs
PN20 Front Slicks

Rear
PN Blue lower springs
PN Green top springs
Medium T-bar
Kyosho 20 slicks wide
20 wt. damper oil

1. Set-up: Use a more forgiving set-up like harder front tires and stickier rear tires. The idea is to have your car push (understeer). This makes your car a lot manageable.
2. Practice is the key. No need to start chasing anyone on the track at this point. Practice on the track without hitting the rails first. Stay in the middle.
3. Try to get use to not letting go of the steering wheel.

Quick Fix... Sunday Afternoon Race. :D

Today was a perfect day for practice. I had set-up our reliable iLAP lap couter and handed some of the guys our house transponder for some quick race to get use to the feel of "racing". It's quite amazing how these drivers had improved their driving. From 11 sec lap time to 10 sec within couple of days. What we did was ran a couple of 30 minutes endurance race. Sportsman had 10 laps down from novice and expert had 10 laps down from Sportsman. After that, we did a mano e' mano race from our novice and sportsman drivers. Very good practice day for these guys... Oh yeah, did I mentioned it was FREE practice racing? :D That's right! If we have enough drivers to run, we'll set-up a race on a weekend.

07.30.09 TNTNT

Our Thursday Night Test & Tune also know as, TNTNT  (thx Ray!) went very well today. I am very happy  that I was to be able to help out most of the guys that came through tonight. Especially those that drove far just to be here on this day like Tristan and Zach. Thank you!
